“Vet Info: A Journey Forward” is more than just a video — it is a look into the heart of our mission to help Veterans find purpose, connection, and a better quality of life. Through powerful pictures and moments captured along the way, this short presentation highlights Veterans moving forward together through recreation, camaraderie, healing, and support.
At Vet Info, we believe that every Veteran deserves opportunities to reconnect, rebuild, and thrive. Whether through golf, fishing, the arts, community events, or simply being surrounded by others who understand the journey, our goal is to provide hope and purpose one step at a time.
This video is a glimpse into that journey forward.
Every Monday, something special happens on the golf course. Veterans from all walks of life come together through the partnership between Vet Info and the Miami-Dade VICTOR Program to reconnect, recharge, and keep moving forward.
Through the support of Miami-Dade County’s VICTOR Program, green fees and carts are covered so our Veterans can get out on the course without the burden of cost. Vet Info proudly supports the program by providing food, golf balls, tees, clubs, and instruction whenever available to help make each outing meaningful and enjoyable.
But this is about more than golf. It’s about camaraderie, purpose, laughter, and creating an environment where Veterans can support one another while improving both physical and mental wellness. Every swing, every conversation, and every round played together helps strengthen the bond between those who served.
Thank you to the Miami-Dade VICTOR Program for believing in the power of Veteran engagement and to every Veteran who shows up each Monday ready to encourage one another and enjoy the game together.
Cathy, spouse of U.S. Military Veteran Tony Zarate, had the opportunity to attend the Miami Symphony Orchestra alongside Vet Info at the gracious invitation of Conductor Eduardo Marturet and his wonderful wife, Athina Marturet.
At Vet Info, we believe healing and connection can come in many forms. Music has a unique way of bringing people together, creating moments of peace, reflection, and unity for Veterans and their loved ones. Cathy shared how evenings like this help Veterans heal, strengthen friendships, and build lasting bonds within the community.
Vet Info is proud to partner with M.I.S.O. to provide meaningful experiences that honor those who have served our country so selflessly.
Thank you to the Miami Symphony Orchestra for making nights like this truly special.
Golf is more than just a game… it’s connection, purpose, healing, and engagement for our Veterans. 🇺🇸⛳
Through the Victor Program and Vet Info, Veterans are finding camaraderie, support, and a community that understands that the conflict does not always end on the battlefield.
From the first tee to the final putt, golf creates opportunities to reconnect, build confidence, reduce isolation, and remind Veterans they are never alone.
Vet Info is proud to continue using recreation, mentorship, and engagement programs to make a difference in the lives of Veterans every single day.
At the Miami Symphony final performance of the season Founder Mark Pinilla interviews Veteran Tony Zarate over his toughts on Vet Info and different issues facing Veterans. This was the 3rd visit to M.I.S.O by Vet Info as we open up the ARTS to Veterans.
A note about Tony – Extensive leadership experience in veteran support programs, community outreach, nonprofit work, and volunteer coordination.
On Thursday, April 30th, The Keyes Company and Vet Info came together to host a meaningful Veteran Appreciation Luncheon at the Keyes Doral office.
What began as a simple gathering became something much more powerful. Food was shared, giveaways were prepared, donations were collected, and the Keyes Doral team opened their doors and their hearts to welcome 13 veterans from our community.
During the luncheon, guests had the opportunity to learn more about Vet Info and the important work being done to advocate for veterans, support their mental health, and help improve their quality of life. Together, we were also able to collect socks and shirts for veterans in need, a small gesture with a meaningful impact.
Most importantly, we broke bread with 13 incredible veterans. We sat together, listened, shared stories, and took the time to truly connect. The veterans who attended expressed deep gratitude, and in return, the Keyes team was moved and inspired by the honesty, strength, and wisdom they shared.
It was an uplifting and heartfelt afternoon for everyone in attendance. More than an event, it was a beautiful reminder of what happens when community, service, and gratitude come together. It also reflected the strong community spirit within Keyes and the bridges Vet Info continues to build for veterans and their families.
A special thank you to the Doral Keyes Office, Keyes Property Management, Capital Partners Mortgage Services, Keyes Insurance, and every individual who supported, donated, volunteered, or helped make this luncheon possible.
Above all, we remain deeply grateful for the brave men and women who serve and have served this great nation. Your sacrifice, courage, and commitment will never be forgotten.
Doral, FL — Vet Info, led by co-founders Mark Pinilla and William “Bill” Watts, is proud to announce a highly successful start to 2026, marked by increased outreach, expanded programming, and strengthened community partnerships in support of veterans.
During the first quarter of the year, the Vet Info website is approaching a significant milestone of 200,000 unique visitors, reflecting growing engagement and the organization’s expanding national presence. This increased visibility has been matched by the growth of Vet Info’s recreational therapy programs, which now include fishing, golf, and archery—activities designed to promote wellness, camaraderie, and peer-to-peer support among veterans.
Vet Info continues to strengthen its impact through strategic collaboration with like-minded nonprofit organizations dedicated to improving the quality of life for veterans and active service members. These partnerships, along with new sponsorships from organizations such as Free Sunshields and Marine Mat, are helping to create safer, more supportive environments for those participating in Vet Info programs. In addition, Vet Info is actively working with the Payn4ward, VISN 8 VA Healthcare System, Miami VA Suicide Prevention Team, VISN 8 LPOP Program, City of Doral, Miami-Dade County’s Victor Program, Broward County, and Bass Pro Shops and others to expand access to recreational outings and create new opportunities for veterans to connect, engage, and thrive.
A central focus of Vet Info’s mission remains suicide prevention and awareness. Leadership has been actively engaged in community outreach efforts to address the ongoing crisis, where an estimated 22 to 24 veterans lose their lives to suicide each day. As part of this initiative, Vet Info has introduced the “30 Second Challenge,” encouraging veterans and their support networks to commit to a daily check-in call of at least 30 seconds. This simple act is designed to foster connection, provide support, and create opportunities for meaningful conversations during times of need.
“Building connections saves lives,” said Watts. “Our goal is to ensure that no veteran feels alone and that support is always within reach.”
Vet Info remains committed to expanding its impact through programs such as Cast Off 22 and the “No Veteran Left Behind” initiative, both aimed at providing therapeutic experiences and strengthening the veteran community.

The recent Miccosukee Invasive Species Fishing Event was more than just a day on the water — it was a mission with purpose.
Bringing the community together to tackle invasive species that threaten Florida’s delicate ecosystem, this event showcased what can happen when passion meets action. Anglers, volunteers, and supporters all stepped up to make a real impact in preserving our natural resources.
But what truly made this event special was how it brought everyone together. From arts and crafts activities for families to the powerful cultural music of the Miccosukee Tribe, the day was filled with experiences that celebrated both community and heritage.
We’re proud to share that Vet Info and PayN4Ward were among the sponsors helping make this event possible. Their continued commitment to community engagement, environmental responsibility, and supporting meaningful initiatives is what drives events like this forward.
This wasn’t just fishing — it was conservation, culture, camaraderie, and a shared commitment to something bigger than ourselves.
1. Mental Health and Social Work Services focus on the mind and spirit.
2. HUD/VASH supports veteran housing security.
3. If a veteran needs a mobile device, VA Connected Services provides a smart device so they can connect to VA Warrior Wellness Services.
4. USDA and UF teach nutrition and financial education through their respective IFAS/EFNEP program.
5. The veteran (and their family) will receive medically prescribed whole foods—fruits, vegetables, dairy, proteins, and pantry items—every two weeks through a refrigerated food locker, along with learning how to cook them.
6. The VA’s Healthy Teaching Kitchen turns whole foods into healthy, tasty meals by using all four senses.
7. Our Compensated Work Therapy helps veterans develop skills and find jobs in the community.
I believe creating an integrated team across these services will promote a healthy mind and body. The food locker helps reduce stigma by allowing veterans to receive food without speaking with anyone or being seen leaving with bags of food. The Healthy Teaching Kitchen not only teaches food prep and nutrition, but also helps reduce and possibly eliminate social isolation—one of the major factors behind veteran suicides.
