Please join the VICTOR Program for a fishing excursion aboard the MDPROS fishing fleet. Our experienced captains and mates will guide you on fishing regulations, basics, and conservation efforts on both bay and ocean fishing. All FWC rules apply on board.

Poles and gear provided. Please arrive at the marina by 9:45am. Vessel leaves promptly at 10am.

You may bring your own gear and bait if desired. Strongly recommended bringing squid or similar bait as well as water and a snack.

This adapted sports program is an outdoor, multi-sport, program that provides
disabled veterans with the opportunity to engage in various activities.
Activities include archery, boccia, cycling, fishing, golf, paddle sports, swimming,
trap shooting, and wheelchair basketball.
This program seeks to serve disabled veterans who have become disabled because
of spinal cord injury, amputation, head injury, multiple sclerosis, visual impairments,
other diseases which may impact endurance or mobility, and those individuals
who have been diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
Participants must call in advance to pre-register and get signed up for the schedule of activities.

FREE to all disabled veterans and disabled members of the armed forces.

This program is funded by a grant from the United States Department
of Veterans Affairs. The opinions, findings, and conclusions stated herein

Veteran Fishing Workshop

Meeting Location: Ernest F. Coe Visitor Center in Homestead, FL

Date: Saturday, March 21st, 2026

Time: 9:00 AM

Duration: 4 hours

Age Requirement: All participants must be 8 years or older; minors must be accompanied by an adult. There must also be 1 veteran per reservation.

Vehicle: Our Institute bus can hold up to 14 passengers, including wheelchair-accessibility. The bus can secure two wheelchairs and is also equipped with a lift. Park entrance fees are included. Our vehicle can accommodate up to 2 wheelchairs. If you need one of these spots, please call us at 786-465-4058 to reserve in advance. The vehicle is also equipped with a lift for guests who can transfer to a seat from a wheelchair, or for guests using walkers.

Important Requirements:

  1. At least one Veteran is required per booking. We will check for Veteran ID when checking in for this program.
  2. All participants must have a Florida Freshwater Fishing License. Please visit this website to purchase you Freshwater Fishing License if you do not currently have one. All participants must have this license in order to fish during the program.
  3. All participants must also have a National Park entrance pass. Veterans are eligible to receive a free National Park Lifetime pass that can be obtained by visiting this website. This life time pass should cover the veteran and their plus one.

Please have fishing license, park pass, and Veteran ID card ready when checking in.

  • At least one veteran must be part of your reservation.
  • Fishing equipment and bait included.
  • Snacks and beverages are provided.

  • $25 deposit required to secure spot, that will be refunded after check-in the day of the program.

City of Doral Military Advisory Committee Meeting

The meeting is typically held in one of the All-Purpose Rooms. Upon arrival, simply check in with the City Hall staff or attending personnel, and they will gladly direct you to the correct room.
