Meetings are typically held quarterly and will be announced in advance here on the Vet Info website and on the City of Doral website.

U.S. Southern Command Fishing Club with Vet Info

Are you an advid fisher person or just learning.  Come out and join us for this great event by US Army Garrison/ MWR and Vet Info.
Capt Bill Watts Co-Founder of Vet Info and Pro Staff for Bass Pro Shops joins us each month to teach and give advice for those wishing to fish around South Florida.
This event is being held on the 3rd Saturday of Each month with a Tournament thrown in here and there so get ready to have some fun..

Hey everyone if you would like to come out and join us for our monthly Fishing club and have access to enter U.S. Southern Command please join us.

Equipment available while supplies last.  Tackle and bait will be made available.  If you have a favorite rod bring your own.

Fishing Friday at U.S. Southern Command

A Day of Fishing for Veterans and Active Duty Members at U.S. Southern Command

Vet Info offers Veterans and Active Duty service members a unique opportunity to take a break, unwind, and learn about fishing at U.S. Southern Command. Held on the third Friday of every month, this event provides a fun and exciting way for those who have served our country to connect with nature, relax, and learn a new skill.

Veterans who have access to the U.S. Southern Command facility are invited to join this special event, which runs from 11 AM to 3 PM each month. Whether you’re an experienced angler or a first-timer, the event is designed to be welcoming and enjoyable for all. It’s an excellent chance to step away from the stresses of daily life, spend time outdoors, and engage in a therapeutic and rewarding activity.

The fishing event is not just about fishing; it’s also about community. It provides an opportunity for Veterans and Active Duty members to socialize, share stories, and connect with others who understand their experiences. The event creates a supportive environment where participants can relax and enjoy a day away from their usual routine.

Participants will have access to all necessary equipment and guidance from experienced fishing instructors. Whether you are casting your first line or honing your skills, the event offers both fun and valuable learning experiences. Additionally, the atmosphere is laid-back, making it the perfect setting for both relaxation and excitement.

Vet Info aims to provide a well-deserved break for Veterans and Active Duty members, offering them a chance to enjoy nature, learn new skills, and take part in a supportive community. Don’t miss this exciting event on the third Friday of every month!

What a great surpise today while holding our monthly Cast Off 22/ Fishing Friday event at U.S. Southern Command to receive a hand written note from Admiral Holsey. For a 4 Star General to take time out of his busy schedule to recognize Mark and Bill both with Thank You notes is a great Honor.
